AI Automation Engineer (Web – Desktop & mSite)
Most automation engineers own one layer. This role owns all of them — UI flows, API validation, data-integrity checks, and CI/CD integration — across both Desktop and mSite platforms simultaneously.
The application ecosystem runs largely on web views, so understanding how Customer Experience Pod (CCP) systems shape user journeys is not optional. You will need to reason about quality end-to-end: from what the user sees to what the data layer returns.
White-box testing is central here. That means reading code, tracing logs, isolating root causes — not just running suites and reporting pass rates. AI-assisted tooling (log analysis, RCA acceleration, test-impact analysis) is part of how the team works, and every engineer is expected to be fluent in using those tools.
Who thrives here
Engineers who are comfortable moving between front-end automation and back-end API validation without losing rigour. People who treat framework design as an engineering problem, not a scripting exercise. Those who bring edge-case thinking into sprint ceremonies rather than waiting for defects to surface in production.
What you'll own
- Design, develop and maintain automation frameworks for Desktop and mSite platforms.
- Implement end-to-end automation across UI, API and integration layers.
- Execute front-end automation covering UI flows, validations and user journeys.
- Execute back-end testing covering API validation and data-integrity checks.
- Perform white-box testing: debug code, analyse logs and isolate root causes.
- Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines and maintain coverage across releases.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers and QA across the full SDLC.
- Identify edge cases, gaps and failure scenarios through Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
- Use AI coding assistants, log-analysis tools and test-impact analysis to accelerate framework work and RCA.
What it takes
- 4–6 years in QA Automation or SDET roles.
- Strong Java; hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, Rest Assured, TestNG, and UTAF or equivalent framework.
- Solid understanding of both front-end and back-end testing concepts.
- Proven white-box testing capability: code-level debugging, log analysis and issue isolation.
- Ability to design scalable, maintainable automation frameworks.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with Customer Experience Pod (CCP) systems and web-view-based application ecosystems.
Nice to have
- Appium or mobile automation testing experience.
- Understanding of mobile app testing concepts.
- CI/CD tooling: Jenkins, GitHub Actions or equivalent.
- Experience with web-view-based and hybrid testing approaches.
- Performance testing or monitoring tools.
